  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack before frosting and decorating as desired.
