Cook the Turkey and Vegetables
- In a large pot, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced onion, garlic, and bell peppers to the pot. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
Add Remaining Ingredients
- Stir in the diced apple, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve
- Ladle the chili into bowls and top with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and sliced green onions.
