Ingredients
  

Mushrooms
  • 16 oz fresh button mushrooms sliced
Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp salt to taste

Method
 

Prepare the mushrooms
  1. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them evenly.
  2. Set aside the sliced mushrooms for cooking.
Sauté the mushrooms
  1. In a skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the butter and oil.
  4. Sprinkle the onion powder, black pepper, and salt over the mushrooms.
  5. Cook the mushrooms for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the sautéed mushrooms to a serving dish.
  2. Serve warm as a side dish or as a topping for steak.
