Ingredients
  

Pie Crust
  • 1 each pre-made pie crust or homemade
Filling
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 1 cup pecans chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Pie Crust
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pre-made pie crust in the pie pan.
  2. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent bubbling.
Make the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
Bake the Pie
  1. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool before serving.
