Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan over medium heat; stir until warmed through.
  6. Toss the baked meatballs in the sauce until evenly coated before serving.
