Method
Prepare the Pasta
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Make the Filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Stuff the Shells
- Fill each cooked pasta shell with the cheese and spinach mixture. Place the stuffed shells in a baking dish.
Add Sauce and Bake
- Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
- Let the stuffed shells cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your meal!
