Ingredients
  

Shrimp
  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
Spices
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 medium bell pepper diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped for garnish
Liquid
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

Prepare the Shrimp
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Let the shrimp marinate for about 10 minutes.
Cook the Vegetables
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
Cook the Shrimp
  1. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
  2. Serve hot over rice or with crusty bread.
