Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade
  • 1 pound flank steak sliced thinly against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for marinade
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for marinade
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for marinade
Vegetables
  • 1 large bell pepper sliced (any color)
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger minced
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar for acidity
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Set aside.
Stir-Fry the Beef
  1. Heat a wok over high heat and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables
  1. In the same wok, add another tablespoon of oil, then add the sliced bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Combine and Serve
  1. Return the beef to the wok, pour in the sauce, and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through. Serve hot.
