Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese Fresh or whole milk
  • 1 pound Ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Italian-style preferred
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley Chopped
Sauce
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil For sautéing

Method
 

Prepare Meatballs
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, ground beef, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
  3. Mix until well combined, then form into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake Meatballs
  1. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
Prepare Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve
  1. Serve the ricotta meatballs hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes
