Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, eggs, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Make the Filling
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until well combined.
Roll and Bake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare the Frosting
- In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Serve
- Spread frosting over warm cinnamon rolls and serve immediately.
