  • 1 box yellow cake mix dry mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup water
Pecan Filling
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup corn syrup light or dark
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and water. Stir until just combined.
Layer the Ingredients
  1. Pour the cake batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
