Method
Prepare the Cake
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and water. Stir until just combined.
Layer the Ingredients
- Pour the cake batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- In another bowl, whisk together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the cake batter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
Bake the Cake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
