Prepare the Filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel sauce. Mix well.
- Set the apple mixture aside to allow the flavors to meld.
Assemble the Pie Bombs
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and cut it into 4 equal squares.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the square over the filling to form a pocket and pinch to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake the Pie Bombs
- Place the assembled pie bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
