Ingredients
  

For the Pie Bombs
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
  • 1 tablespoon sugar for sprinkling
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel sauce. Mix well.
  2. Set the apple mixture aside to allow the flavors to meld.
Assemble the Pie Bombs
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and cut it into 4 equal squares.
  3. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the corners of the square over the filling to form a pocket and pinch to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake the Pie Bombs
  1. Place the assembled pie bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Serve
  1. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce before serving. Enjoy!
