Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp Hot sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour can be substituted with gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Honey opt for raw honey
  • 1 tbsp Red pepper flakes adjust to your spice level

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and hot sauce. Add the shrimp and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove shrimp from the marinade, shake off excess, and dredge in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat the honey and red pepper flakes together until warm.
  8. Drizzle the hot honey over the fried shrimp before serving.
