Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until liquid.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter with both sugars until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Once completely cooled, use a heart-shaped cutter to cut out shapes.
