  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 4 cups fresh spinach washed and chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking the Beef
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
Adding Spinach and Seasoning
  1. Stir in the chopped spinach, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the spinach is wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over the top. Gently mix to combine.
  2. Serve warm, optionally with crusty bread or over rice.
