Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 4 medium Potatoes (russets, sliced thinly)
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (mixed with melted butter)
  • 2 tbsp Parsley (chopped)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the browned beef mixture with cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
  5. Spread half of the beef mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Layer the remaining potatoes on top of the beef mixture.
  7. Spread the remaining beef mixture over the potatoes.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes until potatoes are tender.
