  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Wash and halve the baby potatoes if necessary for even cooking.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of butter, and sear the seasoned steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and halved baby potatoes. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and fork-tender.
  4. Add minced garlic to the potatoes and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Return the steak to the skillet along with any resting juices; simmer on low for a few minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Toss everything with melted butter before serving hot.
