Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder preferably Dutch-process
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add Mix-ins
  1. Fold in the chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles until evenly distributed.
Scoop and Bake
  1. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
