Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Heat until warm but not boiling.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown on top.
  5. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
