Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade
  • 1 lb beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp green onion chopped
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Bowl Components
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup carrot julienned
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • 1 cup red cabbage shredded
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onion, and black pepper.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is cooked through.
Assemble the Bowls
  1. In serving bowls, layer cooked rice, followed by the cooked beef, and top with carrots, cucumber, and red cabbage.
  2. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.

Notes
