Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak, sliced thinly against the grain
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Season steak with salt and pepper and sear in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in heavy cream and simmer while stirring.
  4. Toss cooked pasta into the skillet with Parmesan and Italian seasoning. Mix thoroughly, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired sauce consistency.
  5. Plate the dish, topping with extra Parmesan and fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy immediately.
