  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Method
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper; mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While baking, heat crushed tomatoes in a pot over medium heat; stir in oregano and season with salt and pepper. Let simmer until thickened.
  6. Once meatballs are done, add them to the sauce for additional flavor melding before serving.

Notes
