Preparation
  1. Wash and chop apples, removing seeds.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare cake mix according to package instructions and bake in greased pan for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Once cooled, crumble cake into a bowl and mix in half of the caramel sauce.
  4. Form small balls (about 1 inch) and place on a parchment-lined tray. Insert lollipop sticks and chill for at least one hour.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in short intervals until smooth. Dip each chilled pop into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  6. Drizzle remaining caramel over each pop and sprinkle if desired.
