Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting
  • 2 cups green candy melts
  • 1/4 cup small round sprinkles

Equipment

  • cake pan
  • mixing bowl
  • Parchment Paper
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Microwave or double boiler for melting chocolate

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan and prepare the cake mix according to package instructions. Pour into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely, then crumble it into fine pieces in a large bowl.
  3. Gradually mix in buttercream frosting until the mixture holds together but is not sticky.
  4. Roll the mixture into one-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Insert lollipop sticks into each ball and chill for at least an hour until firm.
  5. Melt the green candy melts as per package instructions. Dip each chilled pop into the melted candy until fully coated, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back on parchment paper.
  6. While the coating is still wet, sprinkle with your chosen toppings.
