- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bring water to a boil in a large pot, add salt, and cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
- Layer half of the pasta mixture in a baking dish. Top with meat sauce, then the remaining pasta mixture.
- Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
