Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ziti pasta
  • 4 qt Water
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring water to a boil in a large pot, add salt, and cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  7. Layer half of the pasta mixture in a baking dish. Top with meat sauce, then the remaining pasta mixture.
  8. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
