Prepare the Mushrooms
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each mushroom into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.
Fry the Mushrooms
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the coated mushrooms in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove mushrooms and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Make the Cool Ranch Dip
- In a bowl, mix together sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Serve
- Serve the crispy fried mushrooms hot with the Cool Ranch dip on the side.
