Prepare Meatballs
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
- Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
Bake Meatballs
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F/70°C).
Prepare Sauce
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Once meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve
- Serve the meatballs over pasta or as an appetizer with toothpicks.
- Garnish with additional parsley and Parmesan if desired.
