Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 blend for juiciness
  • 1 lb Ground Pork
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Italian seasoned preferred
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Parsley Chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Basil
Sauce
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing

Method
 

Prepare Meatballs
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
  3. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
Bake Meatballs
  1. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F/70°C).
Prepare Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
  3. Once meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve
  1. Serve the meatballs over pasta or as an appetizer with toothpicks.
  2. Garnish with additional parsley and Parmesan if desired.

Notes
