  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb flank steak

Method
 

Marinating the Steak
  1. In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag, pour the marinade over it, seal tightly, and marinate in the fridge for at least one hour.
Cooking the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
  2. Remove the steak from the marinade (discard any leftover marinade) and grill for about 6-7 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness.
  3. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes on a cutting board before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
  4. Serve hot with fresh cilantro on top.
