Meat and Tortillas
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 large flour tortillas
Cheese and Beans
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup refried beans canned or homemade
Toppings
  • 0.5 cup salsa mild or spicy
  • 1 cup chopped iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup sour cream

Cooking Steps
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with taco seasoning.
  2. Heat tortillas in a separate skillet over low heat for about one minute per side.
  3. Spread refried beans on each tortilla, add the beef mixture, and top with salsa, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream.
  4. Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly into a burrito shape.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C), place assembled burritos in a baking dish, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for about 10 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Plate hot burritos with extra salsa or guacamole for dipping.
