Prepare the Base
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
Make the Caramel Layer
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine the caramel candies and heavy cream. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the baked base and spread evenly.
Add the Coconut Topping
- Sprinkle the toasted coconut evenly over the caramel layer.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Cool and Serve
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
