Ingredients
  

Cookie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars chopped
  • 1 cup caramel bits

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add Mix-ins and Bake
  1. Fold in the chopped Butterfinger pieces and caramel bits until evenly distributed.
  2. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  4. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
