Ingredients
  

Buffalo Chicken Filling
  • 1 lb chicken breast cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 1 cup onion sliced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella
Bread
  • 4 hoagie rolls sub rolls or baguettes

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken Filling
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the shredded chicken and buffalo sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through, about 5 minutes.
Assemble the Cheesesteaks
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, leaving one side attached. Fill each roll with the buffalo chicken mixture.
  3. Top each filled roll with a slice of provolone cheese.
  4. Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted, about 5-7 minutes.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.

Notes
