Method
Prepare the Chicken Filling
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the shredded chicken and buffalo sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through, about 5 minutes.
Assemble the Cheesesteaks
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, leaving one side attached. Fill each roll with the buffalo chicken mixture.
- Top each filled roll with a slice of provolone cheese.
- Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted, about 5-7 minutes.
Serve
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.
