Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar preferably aged
  • 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or fresh if available
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
Steak
  • 1.5 pounds flank steak trimmed of excess fat

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, honey, rosemary, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best flavor.
Grill the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
  3. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
