Ingredients
  

Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes prepared and cooled
Coating
  • 1 cup bread crumbs preferably panko for extra crunch
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Oil Spray
  • as needed cooking spray for air frying

Method
 

Prepare the Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
Coat the Balls
  1. Dip each potato ball into the beaten egg, then roll in the bread crumbs until fully coated.
Air Fry the Balls
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated potato balls in the basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
  3. Spray the tops of the potato balls lightly with cooking spray.
  4. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
Serve
  1. Remove the potato balls from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
