Method
Prepare the Broccoli
- Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and chop finely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the Poppers
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a separate bowl, mix the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Roll each ball in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
Air Fry the Poppers
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even crispiness.
Serve
- Remove the poppers from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, if desired.
