Ingredients
  

Chicken and Vegetables
  • 1 lb ground chicken can substitute with ground turkey
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced, any color
  • 1 cup onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups fresh Thai basil leaves or regular basil
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon sugar brown sugar preferred
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
Oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or any neutral oil

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Slice the bell pepper and onion, and mince the garlic. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5 minutes.
Add Vegetables and Sauce
  1. Add sliced bell pepper and onion to the wok and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  2. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables, stirring well to combine.
Finish with Basil
  1. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves until wilted.
  2. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes
