Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil for marinating
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
Steak
  • 1.5 pounds flank steak trimmed and pounded to even thickness

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the flank steak in the bowl and coat it thoroughly with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Cook the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
  4. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  5. Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
