  • 1 cup Crisco shortening
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp. 2% milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups peaches (peeled and finely diced)

Instructions

  1. Cream together 1½ cups of sugar, Crisco shortening, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt until light and fluffy.
  2. Gently fold in the flour and diced peaches until just combined.
