Ingredients

  • Heavy cream
  • Unsalted butter
  • Fresh rosemary (or thyme/sage)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Better Than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base
  • Yukon Gold potatoes (or red-skinned potatoes)
  • Grated parmesan cheese (or Pecorino Romano)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle grated parmesan on the bottom.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, combine heavy cream, butter, herbs, salt, pepper, and garlic base until melted. Stir in ¾ cup of grated cheese.
  4. Thinly slice the potatoes and layer them diagonally in the baking dish.
  5. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the potato layers and cover with greased aluminum foil.
  6. Bake covered for about 45 minutes; then uncover and bake for another 20 minutes until tender. Broil for an additional 4 minutes for a crispy top.
