  • 12 cooked lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz ground beef (85% lean)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and cool.
  2. In a pan over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano; sauté until soft. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, parmesan cheese, parsley, and 1.5 cups of mozzarella.
  4. Spread cheese mixture on each noodle; add meat sauce down the center and roll tightly. Place seam-side down in a baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes; uncover and broil for additional browning.
  6. Garnish with parsley before serving.
