  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides (about 5-7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, whisk together flour and Italian seasoning until smooth. Gradually add chicken broth while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
  4. Stir in cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, lemon juice, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, oregano, mustard powder, and dried parsley. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and coat well with the sauce. Let simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
