  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 toasted sandwich bun

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Pound the chicken breast to an even thickness; season with garlic powder and black pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet; cook the breaded chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown (165°F internal temperature).
  6. While cooking, toast the sandwich bun until golden.
  7. When the chicken is nearly done, add Swiss cheese on top and cover briefly to melt.
  8. Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard; spread on the bun's bottom half.
