  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan with nonstick spray or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, stir in pumpkin pie spice for a few seconds.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in both sugars until smooth. Add pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Stir in the egg until fully combined.
  5. Gently fold in flour and baking powder until just mixed, then add chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
