  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken or turkey broth
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the turkey breast dry and season it thoroughly.
  2. Mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs in a bowl.
  3. Rub the herb mixture all over the turkey.
  4. Place sliced onions, chopped celery, carrots, and minced garlic in the bottom of the crockpot; pour in broth.
  5. Position the seasoned turkey on top and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. For crispy skin (optional), broil the turkey on high for 4-5 minutes after cooking.
