  • Kosher salt & black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp chicken base
  • 4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • ¼ cup heavy cream (optional)
  • Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with kosher salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 5 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  3. Remove chicken from pan; add butter and chicken base to melt.
  4. Stir in flour to create a roux, cooking for about 30 seconds.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken stock and water while scraping the bottom of the pan until smooth; simmer until thickened.
