  • 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 tsp loose leaf Earl Grey tea)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 45 fresh cherries (pitted and halved)
  • 12 tsp vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • Ice (optional for iced version)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer the pitted cherries with about 2 tablespoons of water on low heat for 3-5 minutes until softened.
  2. Boil 1 cup of water and steep the Earl Grey tea for 3-5 minutes, then remove the tea bag or strain the leaves.
  3. Pour the warmed milk into the saucepan with cherries and heat gently while stirring; add the optional cinnamon stick.
  4. Mix in vanilla syrup to sweeten according to your taste.
  5. In a mug, combine brewed tea and cherry milk mixture, straining out solids. Stir well.
