  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 & 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Juice from half a lemon (about 2 tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the apple filling by peeling and slicing the apples into thin pieces. Toss them in a mixture of lemon juice, brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
