Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; cook for 4-5 minutes until softened. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the apples; cook until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Flatten each biscuit into a 1/4-inch thick round.
  3. Assemble: Place about a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each biscuit round. Fold edges over and pinch to seal tightly.
  4. Coat: Dip each bomb in melted butter then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before placing seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Cook for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
